Children are like sponges. They absorb things quickly and easily – far more easily than we do as adults. In fact, parents can sometimes see a difference in their kids after just one martial arts class. Each additional class they attend increases their knowledge and growth.
Not only are they getting healthier as they learn martial arts, they’re also learning the value of self-discipline and respect. When you enroll your child in a martial arts class, you’re giving them much more than the physical skills we teach. You’re giving them the opportunity to thrive.
We are teaching your kids self-discipline, hard work, confidence, and respect. This is done in a way that empowers them while also teaching them humility and promoting health and fitness
Martial arts teach the importance of respect in everything we do.
We teach students to respect their instructors and fellow students. They can’t succeed without respecting everyone in the studio.
Over time, the instinct to respect others becomes deeply ingrained – and your child will carry it with them forever.
Nobody can succeed in life without the discipline to keep going even when things are difficult.
Our students learn discipline and persistence. Martial arts training requires true diligence and that’s not possible without discipline.
Students are always held to the highest standard of behaviour – and the discipline they learn here will help them everywhere else.
Our 6 year old son started training a year ago and although it took a little while to get into the swing of things, he thoroughly enjoys the classes. The small group setting and the patience and positivity of the instructors ensures the kids really learn the core values of respect and discipline all the while having a great time. Over the past year we’ve seen Daniel gain in confidence to speak up, his ability to focus and concentrate improve; and we’ve really loved seeing his sense of pride and achievement when he has passed grading. And thanks to Frank's example we have changed how we explain our concepts of what behaviour is expected of him and this has resulted in more respectful communication by the whole family!
My husband and I were both interested in getting our 3 children into some form of Martial Arts program to help them learn an art, learn about discipline, and also learn how to control their bodies in a self-defence situation if it arose. Our kids love doing the classes, they have fun in a non-stressful environment. My kids do several activities but this is the one that really helps them to think about respect to their elders and helps them to focus on thinking about what is good for their bodies. We can absolutely recommend Perth Soo Soo Bahk Do.
